I'm was a Spanish instructor/tutor and substitute teacher for Newton Public Schools and have extensive experience with the Spanish language. I studied Linguistics and Hispanic Studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and spent a semester at la Universidad de Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. I have also lived and traveled in Latin America, specifically La Plata, Argentina (6 months) and Lima, Peru (1 year). As a self-described "language-nerd", I am passionate about languages and genuinely enjoy explaining and teaching language to others, especially Spanish! I can provide a wide array of resources and promote certain aspects of language that are often overlooked (including listening and speaking). I learned Spanish from the ground-up and became fluent through immersion by living in Spanish speaking countries. I know firsthand what it's like to learn these specific languages and am capable of explaining them in an extremely dynamic and in-depth manner.
