Tutor Biography
History
I started tutoring at an early age. In 5th grade I started helping my classmates with English and Math.
I was recruited in high school then hired in my first semester of college by a local tutoring center called simply STUDY HALL. At first I was tutoring all K-12 levels of math, but was then was selected to head the new department (they converted a room for me in the building) focusing on trig, pre calc, and calculus 1 and 2.
After tutoring the highest K-12 math for about a year I was then given another promotion to be lead rotor at a new location in Encinitas.
I then took a job at Hewlett Packard in Rancho Bernardo and took on one tutoring client as a favor. The parents said they could live without me and that I saved their marriage by helping their kids learn... Who can say no to that?
Well that quickly snowballed through word of mouth and I had tons of clients all different ages and I also got to branch out and tutor a lot of subjects including:
Chemistry, physics, biology, statistics, genetics, many levels of mathematics including course and core math, many levels of English with special sessions for standardized testing and SAT prep. I was even flown out to Santa Cruz for 3 days to prep 2 students at UC Santa Cruz for a PreCalc final.
After over 10 years of tutoring I decided to take sone time and pursue graphic design and music (I play trombone in case you were wondering). I gave the musician thing a real shot and toured for about 5 years with small success. I took the last year and just focused on graphic design and I've been tutoring my step daughter and her friends in common core math at the 1st through 4th grade levels. I've decided to get back to what I'm really good at which is teaching.
Give me a chance and through tutoring I will make your life easier and make learning fun and interesting... And of course I will focus on getting you through that big test!
